c.1952 Tootsietoy Buck Rogers Factory Sealed Reissue
Dowst reissued their three die cast metal Buck Rogers Tootsietoy rocket ships in the early 1950's and again in the 1960's. Originally released in 1937 as the red and white Flash Blast Attack Ship its reissue was painted solid silver. A small U.S. Air Force insignia decal was placed on one of the cross supports. The 1960's version, also silver, did not have the insignia. On both the reissues there were no identifying marks to tie it in with the comic strip. Only the embossed catalog number "TS310 Z" marking on the center cross support, is consistent between the three versions. This is the only example I've seen of the 50's reissue in mint condition; never removed from its original blister card. The blister itself is complete and intact.
